For most of my life, I believed success meant achieving more. After graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2011, I built a successful career in software engineering, eventually becoming a Software Architect leading multiple teams responsible for products that generated over $100 million in business impact. From the outside, my life looked accomplished. But internally, I felt disconnected from myself. I had become an expert at performing, yet I rarely felt free to fully express who I was.
